I saw her seated on the bench at the park
She was so still like the wind
I thought if I stay still
Like a portrait, then she won’t see
She won’t feel my gaze
My stare trapped by her beauty
I thought as long as I don’t stir
Then I am perfectly situated
To absorb all the curves of her face
Like the rays of the sun.
But oh no! I forgot my allergies
I forgot my environment
The blooming flower
I tried if only for one more second
But no! The wind!
It changed direction
Like it envied my position
And wanted to dethrone me.
So it blew my way
And there was no stopping it’s determination!
